The Steelers won last year's SuperBowl and the Seahawks was the runner-up, so you have to start their. The Steelers have lost too many weapons but Cowher will keep them in playoff contention. The SuperBowl loser always seems to have a let down (expect the Buffalo Bills). Several teams have made good upgrades so both conferences will be fighting hard to the very end. If you look at, what I think, the top two teams in each conference (Colts, Dolphins, Redskins, and Cowboys) are, what you will see are some interesting stories.

The Colts have not lost as much as they could have and I think they've learned a lot from last year. The Dolphins got a steal in Dante Culpepper. A team with a rookie head coach almost makes the playoffs, remember the Dolphins were 4-12 before Nick Saban came to town, now add Culpepper to that team. Barring injuries the Dolphins should challenge the Patriots for the divsion. The Redskins will probably be the team to beat (no I'm not a Redskin fan) I'm a Cowboys fan that remembers the beating we took last year. If you combine the two games played by the Redskins and Cowboys what you see is for 57+ min Dallas out played and outscored the Redskins 14-0, after that the Redskins outscored the Cowboys 42-7. I still can't get that second game out of head, the Redskins offense manhandled Dallas. Now the Redskins have Randle El from Pittsburgh. Until Dallas beats the Redskins the Cowboys are at best second.

The Dolphins and Rams are my dark horses (teams not expected to do much better will really surprise people).

Here's a breakdown of each conference:
AFC: Colts, Dolphins, Cincinnati, Jaguars, Patriots, Steelers, Broncos
NFC: Redskins, Dallas, Panthers, Bucs, NY Giants, Bears, Rams

I personally think that the Steeler's are the best team, not because I am a Steeler fan but what they did to the Colts in last years playoffs. I know the majority out there believe that the Colts are the best team but without James at running back or any other running back for that matter they went down a notch. True. Steelers lost Bettis, but they still have Staley and Parker . With Parker rushing for over 1200 yds. last year. I believe the Steelers have the best linebackers in the league which means they will bring on the pressure constantly to compensate for their average secondary.
As far as for Ben (QB), I believe he will become a wiser and stronger man after the motorcycle accident.
I really do not see any other team thats dominant in most of the positions. But just for fun, here are my top 5 teams for next season.
1. Steelers
2. Colts
3. Patriots
4. Eagles
5. and believe it or not, The Redskins (Due to free agents)
With that said, it will be the Steelers vs. the Eagles in next years Super Bowl with Pittsburgh winning it.

Chiacgo could be scary this year, they have the D, a great running game with 3 damn good backs, and a very reliable back up qb finally in Brian Griese who im sure will be playing in no time seeing Grossman cant seem to go more than 3 weeks without being hurt lol

Id like to say Chicago but the offense is to suspect. Perhaps Pitt but the running game may not be the same. Maybe New England but to many new guys over the last few years. So my pick, and my super bowl pick is.... Seattle. Kept so many people from last seasons team. Runner up is Indy

PATRIOTS- yes, I am from boston but I am a long time packer fan. Tom Brady will find a way to win this year, and their D will be the best ever- with rodney harrisson coming back he'll be an elite safety once again.

Based on what the Detroit Pistons, the Detroit Red Wings, and the Detroit Tigers have done, I would have to say the Detroit Lions!
