Batman is better because he is darker and will do anything to get the job done. Batman Begins is better because it may be one of the best casts in any movie. Every actor fits their charecter perfectly

Well the issue of "Who's better, Batman or Superman?" is a very complex, and very subjective one. If you mean who would win in a fight? Batman. And yes, Superman has all the powers and blibbity blabbity blah...But Batman is a much smarter fighter than Superman, and the smarter fighter will always win. Those saying that Superman will always beat Batman are forgetting the whole Kryptonite thing, and the fact that Batman is the world's greatest detective, and also one of the the best fighters all around technique-wise. If it ever came down to fight to the finish between the two, Bats is willing to go a lot furhter than Superman. He'd whip out some kryptonite, use it to weaken Superman, then proceed to whoopin' the big S.
If better is a question of morality, then Superman is Leagues better than Batman in that area. The whole truth justice and the American way thing personified by superman is a very light-side version of heroism- saving the day in whatever case. Batman is a crime fighter, and has to be able to think and act like the criminal element he's fighting.
I could probably write a short novella in answer to this question, but seeing as how it's already a little longer than it maybe oughta be, I'll leave it at that.
Oh, and I thought both movies, while different from each other, were equally as good.

I like both of them a lot but Superman Returns was a better movie to me than Batman Begins.

Batman is better, he is dark and sexy. Also, Batman Begins was much better than Superman. Christian Bale's performance was great, he is my new favorite Batman! The whole movie was dark and visual beautiful and the story was great. Superman was just OK. The only part I really liked was Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor. So... Batman wins!

I will go with Superman. He did not need to go through those personality changes like batman. Superman is all Natural.

In the new Superman movie, he has a wedgie. Batman wouldn't be caught dead with a wedgie.

I'm a bigger fan of Batman...a little more mystery with his costume...and he wasn't from some weird planet..his parents were killed. Anyway Batman begins...Haven't seen superman returns.

Batman Begins. It really made up for that no talent, piece of crap hack Joel Schumacher's idiocy with Batman and Robin and Batman Forever. Burton's movies aren't that great either if you go back and watch those. Nolan got everything right!
