Republican. On a Scale of 1 to 50 with 50 being the most liberal and 1 being the most conservative, I'm a 3. I took a test in my American Government class in College. I knew I was a Republican to begin with but I didn't know I was that conservative! :)

Republican - for many reasons - most of which involve the fair treatment of all people. Lincoln's legacy of freedom for all and Reagan's legacy of a captialist engine that produces more tax revenue to the government with low tax rates vs the high tax rates of Democrats that stiffle growth and government revenue. I was a Republican from my youth even though all my relatives were Democrats because of the Confrederacy - which to them had little to do with slavery and everything to do with "state pride" - even though they were wrong. My great grandfather became a Republican on his deathbed because he felt that if anybody was going to die - it should be a Republican. He must be turning over in his grave.

Independent, and not really feeling comfortable associating with the same values as any of the political groups in particular.
