Yes and no. I didn't immigrate to the US, I was born here, but my grandparents weren't. Everyone in the US is descended from somewhere else, it's just a matter of how far back on their family tree you look. Even the native americans aren't truly native. Their ancestors crossed a land bridge, that no longer exists, to get to this continent. It's very apparent if you live in WY that alot of the native american people here look very much like alot of asian people.

No. If you are a native born american, then you are not an immigrant.
However your father, or grandfather, or great-grandfather, howsoevermany generations back may have been an immigrant.
Only those who immigrate to this country in the current generation can be considered immigrants.

If humans truly evolved in Africa, then even Native Americans in North and South American are descendants (sp?) of primitive people who migrated here. Otherwise everyone else is an emigrant themselves or the descendant of emigrants.

If you take the long view, and exclude those of Native American descent. If you take the REALLY long view, even the Native Americans' prehistoric ancestors migrated to the continent from Asia.
