I'm not in a relationship right now. I do have very strong feelings for someone who is not available though. I can't stop how I feel no matter how I try. I just wondered which situation you all thought would be worse

What a question, Loving someone that you can't be with isn't as bad as being with someone that doesn't love you. Now answer this question: Does being with someone mean that you love them? But in any case having someone that loves you but you can't be with them is pretty bad in its self too. You can't be with this person because they are unaviable? If they wanted you then they would make themselves avaible for "love". Basically they don't love, if they are not with you and are not avaible. So your question truly is "What's worse: Loving someone that doesn't love you and can't be with or being with someone that doesn't love you". In this case, its both bad and you should just forget them! Wish you much luck with this question... ;)

The question is, why are you with someone who doesn't love you? You can't control loving someone you can't be with, but you are able to end the relationship with someone who doesn't love you. I recommend it.

I think your definition of love is misguided. If you love someone, it is two way, and that means the othe rperson has to love you. If they're not with you, why? If it's because they're with someone else, they don't love you.
As to the second point, why be with someone you do not love?
If you get rid of people you don't love,and stop obsessing over people you do love who can't be with you, you free yourself up to meet someone you can love.

neither is a very pleasant experience. my love and I are both in a relationship with people that appear to 'not love us' and we are not able to be together due to distance. its a mess

boths horrid, i know the feeling, but you cant be with someone, just because you love them but they don't love you! you would'nt be being fare to yourself ! when theres someone out there that will love you, goodluck who ever you are !
