"Well, I quit drinking in '86."
—Bush, when asked whether, as he embarked on his second four-year term, he saw ghosts of past presidents. (C-SPAN interview, Jan. 30, 2005)
But the press has footage of him drunk on his as_!!!

"Gosh, I just don't think I ever said I'm not worried about Osama bin Laden. It's kind of one of those exaggerations."
—Bush, during the final presidential debate, attempting to refute Kerry’s claim that the president boasted he was not concerned about Osama bin Laden.
"So I don't know where he is. You know, I just don't spend that much time on him... We haven't heard much from him. And I wouldn't necessarily say he's at the center of any command structure. And, again, I don't know where he is. I- I'll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him."
—Bush, answering a question about Osama bin Laden at a March 13, 2002 news conference.

"And as a result of the United States military, Taliban no longer is in existence."
—Bush, demonstrating a weak grasp on reality at a campaign stop in Springfield, Ohio on Sept. 27, 2004.

"I don't speak ill of anybody in the process here. I think if you went back and looked at my comments, you will see I don't attack."
—Bush, in the same interview. (The Washington Post reported on Feb. 20 that the Bush re-election campaign will spend "tens of millions of dollars" on a negative ad campaign focusing on the likely Democratic nominee, Sen. John Kerry.)

LIE : "The evidence indicates that Iraq is reconstituting its nuclear weapons program ... Iraq has attempted to purchase high-strength aluminum tubes and other equipment needed for gas centrifuges, which are used to enrich uranium for nuclear weapons." -- President Bush, Oct. 7, 2002, in Cincinnati.
FACT: This story, leaked to and breathlessly reported by Judith Miller in the New York Times, has turned out to be complete baloney. Department of Energy officials, who monitor nuclear plants, say the tubes could not be used for enriching uranium. One intelligence analyst, who was part of the tubes investigation, angrily told The New Republic: "You had senior American officials like Condoleezza Rice saying the only use of this aluminum really is uranium centrifuges. She said that on television. And that's just a lie."
___________________________________________________
LIE "The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa." -- President Bush, Jan.28, 2003, in the State of the Union address.
FACT: This whopper was based on a document that the White House already knew to be a forgery thanks to the CIA. Sold to Italian intelligence by some hustler, the document carried the signature of an official who had been out of office for 10 years and referenced a constitution that was no longer in effect. The ex-ambassador who the CIA sent to check out the story is pissed: "They knew the Niger story was a flat-out lie," he told the New Republic, anonymously. "They [the White House] were unpersuasive about aluminum tubes and added this to make their case more strongly."
____________________________________________________
LIE "We've learned that Iraq has trained al-Qaeda members in bomb-making and poisons and deadly gases ... Alliance with terrorists could allow the Iraqi regime to attack America without leaving any fingerprints." -- President Bush, Oct. 7.
FACT: No evidence of this has ever been leaked or produced. Colin Powell told the U.N. this alleged training took place in a camp in northern Iraq. To his great embarrassment, the area he indicated was later revealed to be outside Iraq's control and patrolled by Allied war planes.

White House knew there were no WMD CIA - The CIA had evidence Iraq possessed no weapons of mass destruction six months before the 2003 US-led invasion but was ignored by a White House intent on ousting Saddam Hussein, a former senior CIA official said, according to CBS. - "The (White House) group that was dealing with preparation for the Iraq war came back and said they were no longer interested." - "We said: 'Well, what about the intel?' And they said: 'Well, this isn't about intel anymore. This is about regime change'," added Drumheller, whose CIA operation was assigned the task of debriefing the Iraqi official. - "The policy was set. The war in Iraq was coming and they were looking for intelligence to fit into the policy," the former CIA agent told CBS.

Because he is not a liar or a traitor. People say he lied about WMDs. But he didnt, and over 500 WMDs were found in Iraq. No he didnt lie about that, or anything, but the otherside is trying to make him into a liar. Bush has never wavered from his ideas, commitment, or resolve, and that pissed the liberals off. They just cannot stand the fact that a Texas Cowboy beat them, twice.
He's not a traitor, he's led the charge against Islamo-Facism in the world. He liberated 50 million people in Iraq and Afghanistan. How many people were liberated by the previous administration? Zero, ur correct.
Liberals do nothing but Bush bash, and whine. I am waiting for a few workable ideas and insights from that side. But all I get instead is attacks on Bush. No wonder ur side is losing.

Seems like they come up with excuses to say it's not a lie.
Like when Bush said "nobody anticipated that the levees would break". Everybody who watched the news for up to 5 days before the hurricane hit knew the levees were gonna break in a catagory 4 storm. But they will say he meant that when the levees were still standing after the storm, nobody thought they would break..
I saw it differantly..
He also uses half lies more than actual full out lies. Like "John Kerry wants to raise your taxes" looking into the camera to the entire nation. When John Kerry didn't want to raise taxes for the middle class, I see that as a lie to 80% of the population but he was telling the truth to a very small percentage of people..
Jack F brings up another excuse as an example.. It may not have been a lie, only he really knows what he was thinking but using the 500 WMD they just found is an excuse. Those WMD had nothing to do with his case for war...

That there is a link between Iraq and 9/11.
That WMDs have been found in Iraq (no, 500 old shells from the 80s do not count)
That Iraqi oil will pay for the war.

Because he wants to ban gay marriage, ban flag burning, and ban abortion. The reality is that those three issues matter more to his supporters than ALL of the lies he's told. Oh yeah, and he wants to kill all the terrorists and spread American democracy (to any country with oil, of course).
People could fill VOLUMES with all of the things that man has messed up, but it never ceases to amaze me that his base will NEVER question his judgment on ANYTHING. That Karl Rove...he's good...just not good for the country.

You need sources if he has lied, what lies are you talking about, if your talking about the war in Iraq, he had the same information the other countries had about WMD's, and all the other countries like France and the U.K. and their were many other countries agreed with the analysis of their governments intelligence, so where is the lie. What are the other lies your talking about.

Honestly I could write a novel about it. Short answer: They're sheep. They're afraid to challenge our goverment and they think it's against America and God to do so. I think exactly the opposite.
"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -Teddy Roosevelt

I guess they want to be in denial. They watch Faux News and think that is the real news. They don't read other opinions or try to understand anything they don't already think they know.
It makes me both angry and dismayed.
Wake up sheep!
