There seems to be a struggle in the U.S. between the left and the right about just how much of a threat a few religious zealots from the Muslim community actually pose. Are we too preoccupied with the rights of these radical Immam's and Ayatollah's who wish to impose their way of living on us and have no respect for secular law? I resent it when the Jehovah's show up on my door step.. and tell me how to live.

How can we continue our liberal way of life in the west unless every segment of our society understands that we need to get in step and go for total victory over this menace?

Perhaps if my parish priest told me that I would have 40 virgins after blowing myself and a few muslims up, in a suicide mission defending western ideals I might get on board with the total victory thing.

Modern media is so brave to take on the president and let the terrorists know how we track their finances,, How about criticizing the 13th century way of life these Immams want to impose?

I think ignoring them is only going to compound the problem, because they are only going to grow more numerous and more powerful.

I don't think it's a matter of ignoring them or picking fights with them. The solution lies somewhere in-between - and that has been our problem. We've been so damn polarized that no one can work on any real solutions. All Republican must be for throwing rocks at them, and all Democrats must be for pretending they aren't there. And, like always, the moderates must be the ones to step up and actually debate this issue. Which is not going to happen since only one party controls the government. Instead we are left with "stay the course" no matter how bad of a course it is.

The answer lies in something extremely easy (in theory). All of those "regimes" are propped up by oil money. Soooooo have a serious national push for all available scientists, hobbyist, schools.... everyone to find an alternative means of energy. As soon as one is found the money for oil runs out and these people have to start getting jobs and building real governments. If the president had made a similar statement after 9-11, instead of "go to the mall" we would have been out of this mess already. It's actually that easy and will hopefully happen under the next president.

Jehovah's Witnesses understand that there are a few people who are bothered by their door-to-door preaching work. However, the Witnesses are working to please Almighty God and Jesus Christ, rather than themselves or any human (such as the householder).

The Scriptures indicate that Jesus personally instructed his disciples to go door-to-door. Although they are a relatively small religion, Jehovah's Witnesses clearly embody the most prominent global fulfillment of that Christian assignment. Frankly, you can call yourself a Christian all day long, but if you disregard the door-to-door preaching work, who are you really disregarding?

(Luke 10:1-17) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos in advance of him into every city and place to which he himself was going to come. 2 Then he began to say to them: “The harvest, indeed, is great, but the workers are few. Therefore beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest. 3 Go forth. Look! I am sending you forth as lambs in among wolves. ...16 “He that listens to you listens to me too. And he that disregards you disregards me too. Moreover, he that disregards me disregards also him that sent me forth.”
