Work. At first I didn't like her but when she became my assistant, she grew on me.

I met her in my Italian lessons, at first I didn't like her at all, actually I thought about dropping class because she talked a lot and sometimes that annoyed me. The course was over and we did not know much about each other, one day she sent a mail to everybody saying she had already registered for course 2, I answered saying I had too, she answered asking me how to use smileys and that was the beginning of our friendship, although we did not become best friends immediately, we met for breakfast and we talked about each other a lot, we found out there were many coincidences among us, we both lived alone, we had a long distance relation, our past boyfriend (who we both were supposed to marry) had cheated on us and we liked to travel a lot, although we did it alone most of the time, we decided to travel together on our next vacations and we traveled to Argentina, it was there where we became best friends, I would say almost sisters, we had the best trip ever, although we are very different, we respected our spaces all the time, we made decisions together and we even traveled to Patagonia, since then we have been best friends, we call each other everyday just to say hi, if we are in trouble we know the other can listen to us and give us her point of view, she got married two years ago so we are not doing a lot together anymore but we are still family and know exactly what is going on with us.

I met my best friend by the location of where I lived. I lived in apartment 8 and he lived in apartment 10. He had just gotten out of the Navy. Before he went to the Navy I knew who he was but never really hung out with him. When he moved into apartment 10 he had a daughter that was the same age as my son. At first they would come over so the children could play. Then after awhile, he started coming over by himself. About six months later we were engaged. We have now been together for 6 years and we are still the best of friends.

I met her through a guy friend I'd made on a site called cybersoulmate.com. He and I would occasionally go to dinner, but didn't "date". He also knew her through that site, and thought that she and I should meet, because we were a lot alike. The first time we met (the 3 of us went to dinner) she and my guy friend chatted all through dinner about people they knew in common, and I didn't have much to say. It wasn't until maybe 4 months later, that we had occasion to see each other again (she and I) that we kinda 'clicked' and hit it off. It'll be one year ago in July that we've been friends...somewhere along the way we became best friends...rarely a day goes by that we don't communicate at all, and most days we see each other as well...

I met my best friend a kindergarten we were both 4 years old we grew up went through junior school together and then senior college the teenage years we were still best friends when we both got married to our boyfriends and had our families the story goes on and onwe are now both 70 and still live in walking distance from each other .We still tell eachother our innermost secrets. In fourth grade on the playground, we both realized that we lived near each other and decided to hang out together after school too, we are still best friends to this day and we are both 31!
