Why does one need a role model? I think we already have role models - they are the people who influenced us when we were most susceptible to influence - in the childhood. Children mimic the adult surrounding them and that stays with us for life. And most of us are not that lucky - I mean : not every met people who'd be a good example / role model. Now we try to get rid of set thinking and behavioural patterns we got long time ago. why have more role model? let alone celebs.
