Why dont americans pick one day of the year to not go to work and to protest that we wont go back to work until we all get universal health insurance?

Something needs to be done, that is for sure. The working poor can't afford insurance or to pay the high cost of hospitalization. Maybe I could illegally immigrate to Mexico and the Mexican government can pay for my doctor bills, what do you think, any chance of it?
I doubt the American people would all pool together to protest anything. If the high cost of gas didn't organize an impactive protest then nothing will?
Keep up the good ideas though.

Because the majority of people have to go to work everyday. it is that nasty thing we call bills and responsibility. if your job does not offer health insurance, then find one that does, or if you have enough money to take a day off work, instead of not making the money, use it to pay for a health insurance plan.
what kind of jack *** question is this Don't waste your time thinking of something so petty. the world has bigger problems than you having health insurance

most people are blinded by patriotism, thirst for war, desire to protect saftey and all that fun jolly stuff. plus yeh employers would hire every illegal to replace those who protest. would i protest hell yeh, i figure if you only live once live a life that involves changing the world for the better. no matter the consequences of life that our countri gives you, you dont have to apart of it, if we all united we could possibly start a new way of life with more jobs and better freedome.

We dont because we would lose our jobs to all the illegal immigrants in this country, not to mention that a lot of people have to work more than one job and couldn't afford to take time off.
