I do it. It's nice because it gives a large selection of prospective partners. But I've found it's very important to pay close attention to every word online. You have to filter very carefully which people you respond to.
It was scary at first, but let's face it... I've met a lot of freaks and losers in person. So what's the difference if you talk online for a while first?

Online dating is a not really interesting at all because you don't know the person and it can't grow anywhere. You don't spend any real time together or get to really know each other. Not only that, the person could always fake you out and fill you in with lies.

I think people should get out and meet people the old fashion way.
Why people feel they need to hid behind a computer screen is beyond me. Seems everyone is trying to be someone they are not. Relationships are only going to work if you are yourself!
I don't think many people are truthful about theirselves online.

I personally wouldn't do it, but if it works for you then so be it. Close friends of mine met online and they are the cutest couple. They have been together for 4 years now.
Definitely not for everyone. Good Luck

I think it is scary because you can totally pretend to be someone that you aren't. In the end, the truth will come out, but you just have to hope it isn't too late!

It can be dangerous, you don't know who the person really is and how much of what they're telling you is the truth.
