I would like to put together a pageant for my church. I would like to have male and female entries. How do I put it together? What criteria should I have as well as what rules and so on? There will be a short essay writing portion, question and answer, evening wear, and other catagories. How do I create entry forms and all. Any suggestions would reallly be helpful. I would like to keep it tasteful.

You need a date and time for it to happen.
You need judges for all the categories. And instructions for the judges to score.
You need rules for each category - like how long are the essays.
You need a way to let people know about it to enter and then the audience.
You might need prizes.
You need to decide what ages can enter.
You need a person to ask the questions.
Just a start.

Sounds like you've bitten off quite a big bite there. Putting on a pageant takes months to prepare. What is your deadline? In order for anyone to give you any type of feasible game plan, we will need to have a deadline date.
