This is for a new NC resident who wants to visit the beach on July4 and was advised that Fort Lincoln is near it. Any recommended beach that's closer to Morrisville would be great.

The area sought is coastal beachfront near Morehead City. I'm seeking any coastal beach in NC, hopefully a beach even closer to Morrisville than the Morehead City area.

I could not find a town called Fort Lincoln in North Carolina. There's a quite distance to the ocean from Morrisville, but you can try nearby Lake Crabtree. Maybe there's some small beach over there. If not, you can still go west to B Everett Jordan Lake. I'm sure you will find a beach over such a big lake. The map shows a Jordan Lake State Recreation Area to the southwest of this lake, so most probably there's a beach over there.
