How about a Bible story picture book for each?
They are too young for it now but in a year or two they will love it.
With love in Christ.

i would get something that would be like an investment for them when they are older eg for a girl a barbie or bratts doll and a boy a match box or hot wheels car .something that has potential to increase its value as they grow up.and stipulate to the parents that its not to be opened but kept in good condition in its box and go on display

You should get them blankets and have their date of birth and date of baptism put on them, or a photo album with the dates on them, or get little stuffed bears and get the dates put on their tummies. Get them in different colors.

You could buy them one of those little precious moments animals or little children. They say the '' now I lay me down to sleep '' prayer. They are really cute and it would be appropriate too ! You can buy them at Walmart !

a small engraved Bible for babies. My daughter got one from her godparents when she was baptized and even when she was too small to read she loved to see it and know it had her name on it.
This one was Precious Moments but they do make others.
