I studied zoology at Bristol, it's really good. You get half price entry to the zoo!! Seriously, the course is quite broad and very similar to biology, except you don't have to study plants. There's excellent fieldwork as well and you learn lots about evolution, ecology, conservation, genetics. Some uni's let you choose the modules you want to do so you can leave out the boring ones!
Good luck!

I did an Honours degree in Zoology, it was fascinating but I couldn't get a job. So I did a PhD in Zoology, it was also fascinating, and I still can't get a reasonably well paid job. Do a degree in something that will get you a job, not one that is just interesting. If you like biology, do a biology course such as genetics or biomedical science - they are always recruiting for biologists in the field of medicine/cancer research/cardiac research/arthritis research.

I took zoology in High School and I absolutely loved it. I would imagine that college zoology would be much more interesting. Prepare to dissect and learn the different species, phylum's, family, order etc. It's a lot of work but fun.
