doctors only make assumptions at the size. a day before i delivered my child (at 41 weeks) the doctor said that he hoped the baby would hang in there just a little longer because he was only MAYBE 6 pounds. the next morning i went into labor... had the child at 4:30 in the afternoon and his weight was EXACTLY 8 POUNDS.... and there is no way that in less than 24 hours the baby could have gained 2 pounds

11 oz is normal, but on the smaller side of the spectrum. My baby was 11 oz when I was 20 weeks. But don't worry, your baby has 3 more months to catch. Some babies have growth spurts at different times. They would've let you know if something wasn't right about it.

If the doctor wasn't alarmed, you shouldn't be. Your baby will most likely gain a pound each month and as long as you can get the baby up to five pounds, you're good. Eat healthy, and keep a positive attitude.

There is really no accurate way to determine the baby's weight while you are still pregnant, even if an ultrasound was done.
