I met my present and soon to be my wife on yahoo personals. It was an experience I'll never regret. It was the first time I had tried it and it gave us a chance to know each other before we actually got together. I am madly in love with her and she with me. It couldn;'t have been any better. 6 months and not even an argument.

Yep, I met my husband. It was like a fairy tale - with a very happy ending.

I met some very nice men, who didn't click romantically and then I met a few idiots, too!

You have to be very very careful - both men and women. Have them checked out, I did! It is well worth it. And when you first meet in a public place, make sure there are several people that know where you are or even that are in the same restaurant or coffee shop where you meet.

Yes, I have. I've met my share of losers, just like I have in 3-D, and then I met the most amazing man when I least expected it, on myspace of all places, and we're very happy and in love. So, just like in the real world, the online world has some weirdos but it also has some great people out there you might not ordinarilly run into in your everyday runnings about town.

Twice.
One time it was fine. He took me to a resturant. We ate. Gave him a hug when I left. I wasn't interested. He was and called me the next day. I told him I only wanted friendship, finally had to avoid his calls and messages but he got the point and went away.
Second time it was great. Still is. Met up in a group thing. Went on a date the next week. Been seeing eachother for two months and I know I would have NEVER met him except for online. Give it a chance. Sometimes it goes sometimes it doesn't. I'm really glad I did.

Yup. First attempts on different people were such failures. But I guess that eventually it just happens. My actual girlfriend appeared out of nowhere on Yahoo, we started talking, we met because I thought she was cool and I wanted to hang out with her, and she wanted as well. What's nice though, is that we clicked on a more personal level eventually and now we're going day by day. I love her, I know she loves me, we still talk online most of the time, and when I'm not online, I'm with her.

Can happen.

P.S. The cliché of "ugly people meeting online" does not apply. She's very beautiful, and I'm the first person she ever dated "online" but had those doubts of me being ugly as well... LOL

yeah a handful actually...off of blackplanet.com. Everything went well and i've actually made some lasting friendships. I still have a few friends that I met off of there from 2 and 3 years ago! So yeah...but some of them can turn out bad cause the guy turns out to be ugly...and then u say to yourself "no wonder they had no pic on their page!!" So now i live by "no pic, no chat"...lol

Yes, about 6 or 7. Good experiences, some better than others. Get to know them first, talk on the phone, and meet in a public place.

I guess the rest didn't. Don't talk to them. Would I do it again? Sure.. just gotta be careful.
