Because there are adult pedophiles who try to talk to children like you on that website. And 13 is the age limit.
You should spend time learning proper English this summer.
Why should it matter that you have to be 13 years old to use myspace? I have a myspace account, and I would like to know the reason why.

u have to be 14 yrs of age because its a place for teens to talk to friends and meet ppl but lil kids can still get just lieing bout der age and all so it really doesn't matter bout age u have a myspace so do i its myspace.com/dj618 p.s. the age thing stops adults from looking at teens and teens going to mature sites to prevent a big *** fine for tom

They are trying to protect children. Myspace opens itself up to lawsuits if they don't place some type of restrictions on memberships.

Because children of under 13 years are not allowed to sign up for anything on the internet because they might not know what they are signing up for. This is a requairement by law, if im not mistaken.

because there are sick people out there ready to grap the first young girl or boy that they can catch...
and there are young people dumb enough to meet people that they have never met and not think it might be dangerous...then people blame their stupidity on myspace...so myspace has to protect itself and retarded people by setting age limits

1st actually you have to be 14 years of age or older. as said under # 1. eligibility:

and i believe it is because that at that age you are more liable for your actions, than say a 9 year old and because of the 'bad' people on the internet, they want to protect the naive.

because myspace has bad things on it and they dont want little kids giving out where they live and their phone number to perverts so they can get raped and theres alot of porn and bad immages on there and they want you to mature enough not to be stupid

cause they don't want stupid little kids on it. and so they don't get sued when minors get raped by a weirdo. thats why i don't have a myspace, xanga, or facebook.
