Monster is not going to have anything for a 16 year old.
Your best bet is to put on some decent clothes (no jeans) and start walking.
Go to every business in site (warning..fast food is hard work and pays crummy, as does a lot of retail).
Hit the restaurants, banks, grocery stores, Walmart, Home Depot, and every store in the mall.
Be prepared to sell yourself. Don't be shy.
It can take some work to find a job but you won't get one by just posting on the net and praying.
Get out and make it happen! Incidentally, the ability to make things happen is exactly what employers want to see, not laziness.

At your age, it would be good to work a job that pays cash so it won't interfere with your college benefits in the future, especially in your senior year. A good place to work is doing dishwashing, table busing, some food prep, etc at a local restaurant, usually family-owned type. Be careful not to be asked to do anything that is dangerous, but usually these places are pretty good about giving you age appropriate work. Make sure to get paid at least minimum wage or close to it. After a few months of good work, don't be afraid to ask for a raise, then every six months after that as long as you are doing a good job. Good luck.

I doubt you will find anything this late in the summer. But I hope you do. Anyway I'm in the same boat as you are. I suggest putting in as many applications as you can. Also try a temp agency. I'm not sure if your old enough though, so just find out. They will be able to get you temp jobs every now and then that pay decent money.

I was gonna say McDonald's, but then i notice you said "good amount of money". Hon....you're only 16, you're not gonna make much more than minimum wage because you're still in school and you cannot work more than 20 hours a week. Considering it's summer, you might be able to work more hours. But unless you've got some prior experience, you're still not going to make much money. Babysitting is always good...you can charge what you want, within reason.

Try www.craigslist.org
Being 16, you aren't going to make that much over minimum wage and most teens get their summer jobs lined up in April.

you give no location. I know that hotjobs has lots of jobs for young folk. Retail jobs if you are interested. Just keep searching all of the online job sites and fill out lots of applications and you will get one. Thats how my daughter used to get her retail jobs. She also used to go to the store websites that she wanted to work at and filled out online applications

You wont legally make a good amount of money at 16. But I guess it depends on what you consider good.
