What would you do with an English degree?

If someone doesn't want to teach, but has an English degree, what other options do you think are available?

Gosh with an English degree you can really get a ton of jobs. People are hired based on their writing and analysis skills. You can get jobs in communications like journalism, film, public relations.

Journalism is a good career path for someone with an English degree. People that have an English degree under their belt tend to be very good writers as they have passion for the language.

Journalism of some kind, though it's hard to get into. Probably you can try whatever you want so long as you have the degree. My brother has a degree in political science and he's in finance of some kind.

Why would you get an English degree, and don't want to teach? If you don't want to teach and that's the only major you have, you can always look for a job that doesn't require any experience. You can also go back to school. If you settle for a no experience job, and they say teachers dont make any money, you'll see how much you'll bring home in a year. Trust me, go back to school and major in something you would enjoy. If it was me, I would teach until I can offered to go back to school and try again.
