C) Cancel my cards - just common sense. Don't want anybody using them or stealing my identity.

definitely C then A.
It's easier to cancel the cards than to catch the one who took them. Plus a ruined credit is so hard to fix.
But there may be a chance of catching if they were to try to use the canceled cards or anything else in your wallet.
I work in the layaway department at Wal-Mart. A wallet thief had used the layaway slip to cancel the layaway and get the money paid on the layaway. When the real customers tried to get the layaway out and I saw it was canceled and they explained that their wallet had been stolen I went to find the paper the thief had signed in hopes the cops could at least do a handwriting comparison or something. It turned out the thief had signed his own name instead of forging the real customers'. I made a copy of it and gave it to the customers. A cop investigating the wallet theft had came in two hours later to talk to me about the whole thing.

E,
I never have much of anything of value in there anyway.
I have one ATM card which is completely useless without a PIN so it'd just give me an excuse to get a new wallet.
Though I'd have to go get a new card for the gym and then New Savings Cards for the grocery stores, new ins cards, I guess it would suck pretty bad.

Cancel my credit cards ASAP. Then, report it missing to the police. Then, get a new driver's license. Then get pissed and angry and then realize that I was not hurt in any way to get that wallet. And hope the $on of a ***** gets hit by a car and his legs broken! (it could be a her, does not matter). Then look for another wallet-and a new purse to go along with it.
I know you said choose one, but, in this case, two is really better then just one to pick here.

C,cancel my cards immediately! That is the most critical situation when somebody try to used your cards and you have your pin code listed in a piece of paper with thw wallets or you have your bday and other personal info that you use as pin number,it would be a big trouble that they shop by your name but not for your pleasure and you will be liable for all debts!

A friend of mine got robbed about a month ago in broad daylight. I saw the light. I keep no cards or money in my wallet. Just some worthless papers. Hoplefully that's all they'll go for and they'll get nothing.

Probably A, but not the cops. Just report it to the store customer advisory BUT then I prepare my self just in case. I only carry suficient amount for what I want that day. Rest is kept elsewhere. Cards are not kept with wallet *GRIN*

E. I've lost my wallet to many times to count already. I'm pretty resigned to the fact that it's gonna happen again. And if I lose then I'm sure that I'm gonna have to buy a new one anyway. So I'm killing two birds with one stone.
