you will have to wait a little while - the take at home tests measure the level of pregnancy hormone in your body. It needs time to build that up some. Even if you had sex while ovulating, a few days isn't enough time for your body to start going into pregnancy mode. The earliest tests that I know of that you can take at home at the early response tests and you can take that 5 days before a missed period - so you have some time to wait. Regular home tests you need to wait until you have missed a period.
Good luck!

You can take a test as early as 5 days before your period is due, but I have always had best luck waiting until the day I miss my period.

It depends on the type of test. If it's the blood (serum) test, you can take it 10 days after having intercourse. If it's the home pregnancy test, you can take it on the first day your period is due (if you miss your period).

the faster you attempt, the greater in all threat you're to get a faux unfavourable. Your opportunities of a faux unfavourable at 14-sixteen days positioned up thought are enormously narrow however, and previous that they are negligable. Have her attempt whilst she could assume her era. If the attempt is unfavourable and he or she would not have her era in a week after that, then i could propose she attempt as quickly as greater. If that attempt is unfavourable, have her see her gynecologist.

Talk to your doctor or someone at a planned parenthood centre. They have the knowledge and training to answer that sort of question.
