assuming that you in fact are a yankees fan, they really cant do anything but rely on the redsox to at some point fall apart.....theyve been plagued by numerous injuries to key personell on their team that really prohibits them from being the yankee organization that we all remember them to be. me being a diehard redsox fan, i am surprised at their current position now being 3.5 games behind, which really isnt that much considering last year it was up to 7 games we lead the AL EAST, but in dramatic fashion, the yankees snuck up and stole the al east once again from us........

1. Kidnap David Ortiz and force him to play as a Yankee.
2. Just like in SNL, the Yankee Superheroes should fly to outer space and fight evil aliens. President Bush would present them with honorary medals with special powers that could help them beat the Red Sox.
3. Try to get Aaron Rowand even though there's no way the Phillies would trade him.

Frankly, the Yankees are dead meat for this season and several more to follow. They are getting OLD and the many injuries show that is a fact. Despite George Steinbrenner trying to BUY a pennant, they are still a second rate ball club. His money just doesn't do the Job, nor does his team!!
I have to call them as I see them.

Frankly, it doesn't matter if the Yankees can pass the Red Sox. Toronto's going to beat 'em both this year!!!

Maybe try and win a game or two.
On second thought, I like 'em just the way they are...losing. Let's get the Yankees back to where they were 35 years ago, laughable losers. GO AWAY YANKEES!! GO AWAY YANKEES!!

They must play as a team and not a collection of overpaid prima donnas. Alex Rodriguez in particular must re-learn this lesson (he is capable of it). Unless he has completely forgotten his Seattle days.
But even then, the Red Sox can hold them off. Let's see how it looks in August.

Well first off, the weather is heating up, and therefore, Randy Johnson is too, so he will pitch well for the rest of the season and i heard rumors that we're giving up our 18 yr old kid Hughes "the next Roger Clemens" for Carlos Lee so we can have another powerful bat in the already decent lineup

It's almost the all star break. The sox will start their collapse right after that. 2004 was just a hiccup.
