thanks guys. Actually i am very faithful to my bf..he is a wonderful part of my life. I am the one who doesnt really think im pregnant..but other people are pushing me to test and im a little afraid. He is deffinitly not the type to lie..in fact he has been looking for a woman who does not want kids b/c he has had problems with that.we have 2 kids each..and im not to young to have sex..lol..i am an adult.but anyway..i will do a test..im not sure what to think.i do know that neither of us want anymore kids. But it would absolutly never even cross my mind to cheat on him,i think that cheating is very wrong and he is the only man in my life. It has been 3 yrs since he had the vasectomy..i dont know whether he has had a sperm count or not.

Yes.

Early failure rates of vasectomy are below 1%, but the effectiveness of the operation and rates of complications vary with the level of experience of the surgeon performing the operation and the surgical technique used.

Although late failure (caused by recanalization of the vasa deferentia) is very rare, it has been documented.

It is under 1% but if you are 'it' that doesn't help a lot. Use a pregnancy test to make sure.

Even if the vasectomy was done years ago, the ends of the tubes can sometimes reconnect. I know of 2 cases where this happened, and the 2 guys fathered children.

There is always a chance that you can get pregnant after a vasectomy. It is as effective as birth control and there have been cases where the vasectomy reverses itself and heals back together.

Sounds possible. For a few months after the vasectomy you should have a back up.

how long ago did he have the vasectomy? for the first few months after a vasectomy, you are supposed to use a backup method of birth control or you could get pregnant.

Highly unlikely, but possible.

I would just get a pregnancy test to make sure. If you're fretting about it, that could be a probable cause for the missed periods - stress will do that.

It depends on how recently the procedure was done. There are several follow-up visits required after the procedure to ensure that he is "shooting blanks" so to speak. If he did not do these follow-up visits, he may not have been "clear" before you had unprotected sex. If this is the case, you could very well be pregnant.

It's still possible to get pregnant after he gets a vasectomy. The chances are small, but not zero.

It's not impossible, he should have been checked to make sure it work, in some cases men have 3 tubes and if the Dr don't spot it ya it can happen . he need to follow up and get a sperm count check.
