Yes it is true. Its not always the EXACT same case for EVERY serial killer but for some yes. I read this book on Richard Sharpe and thats how he started out. By killing little lizards and torturing his dog. He ended up shooting his wife with a gun and killing her in front of the children.

Yes, they get a feel and a liking for the killing, and this is especially true in ones who torture the poor animal first and then give it an elaborate death, there is something very wrong with a person who does this and in most states it's against the law, report it if you know of someone.

It's very true that children who enjoy torturing or killing animals have a greater chance of growing up to be psychopaths. Or, to put that in reverse, many serial killers did enjoy hurting animals as children.

Yes. The two signs of a budding serial killer are bed wetting at a late age and torturing animals.

This is true, and another bad sign is when they can only kill the animal guilt free by pretending that it wasn't a real living thing, such as chopping up a snake and pretending it's a rope where otherwise the person would cry for hours over this sort of thing.

Most show violent behavior in the beginning and do take it out on things that are vulnerable. As adults, they are either classified as psychopaths or sociopaths. Though both are classified as having antisocial behavior and show no remorse for their crimes, they act differently in their lifes. Psychopaths are truly antisocial and have no belief in right and wrong, look at dahmer or ed gein, the guy "psycho" was made about. Sociopaths are much more charming and able to fit into society and lead a double life that includes murder on the side, take BTK as an example

yes. they first start out by dreaming of killing things-pets, family members, what have you.
Then, when they start to get brave enough, they start killing animals. It could be a stray, the neighbor's next store or their very own. It does not matter sometimes to them.
Then when they get older, they get much braver and go after adults, innocent people (or, in some sad cases, kids).

I don't know about MOST but yes when people begin torturing/ killing animals they do become desensitized to this kind of violence and can be prone to violence against humans. In fact many of the U.S.'s most famous serial killers began this way... research Jeffrey Dahmer.

nonetheless not genuinely everyone who kills an animal will grow to be a serial killer, maximum serial killers did abuse some thing smaller and weaker than themselves growing to be up. this is approximately power and domination and *enjoying* it. Um, yea, i might opt to unravel what your son is doing, and why, as quickly as plausible. it would desire to be not something, yet better secure than sorry.
