However that said, we are not fighting the right people. We should be after Osama with everything we have. Not Iraq. The only thing they have is oil and I guess that was more important the catching the leader of the terrorists. And what about Saudi Arabia? The people on the planes were Saudis! Osama is a Saudi. I'm curious to know your definition on the "War on Terror". That could be interpreted so many ways. Take this for instance--Let's say I live in a nice neighborhood that is a gated community with a security guard at the gate. No crime of any sort in one year. One weekend, two people in their homes were tied up and robbed and grafitti was sprawled across several houses. Does that mean it's still a safe neighborhood or has it turned into a ghetto?

I'll choose door number 2. Undoubtedly the preferred option.

But how do we know when we've won? Will "Terror" wave a white flag and surrender? Will we crush "Terror"? Will "Terror" ever be vanquished?

I'm not opposed to fighting someone that is engaged in terrorism, but I'm pretty intent on fighting someone specific. This vagueness of fighting "Terror" leads to endless, interminable war.

First off, American success does not necessarily refer to americans wiping out the middle-eastern population so you're not saving any lives here diji.
You'd have to define "American success in the war on terror" - if by that you mean the american government having exclusive right to middle eastern oil supplies, then it's nothing to slit your writs over (unless you're an emo, in which case you'd be doing it anyways).

I would choose to die with pride protecting my country, my family, my morals and my values! My father is a Vietnam Vet and security comes at a price. These kids that are out there defending our way of life VOLUNTEERED to be in our military. They knew the risks and they made that choice and 95% of them, even those that have lost their lives, did it with pride and conviction and I choose to support them. Would you go out there and stand on a line somewhere to save people you didn't even know? Your neighbors? Your family pharmacist? Not many people could do that.
