Because it would have been tough to do. It was much easier, and sounded better to his base to say, "He is not a real threat to the American people" than to actually go to the effort of taking him out.

Good question, and I think Clinton overall was a far better Prez than Bush.
My belief is that there are facts we don't know and may never know. For example, there is a factual link between the houses of Bush and Bin Laden, with the common interest being oil. I do not understand why 9/11 started out with a hunt for Bin Laden in Afghanistan and detoured into Iraq, which had NO connection to 9/11.
It may have been politically expedient for Clinton to leave it for the next guy to clean up that mess. In saying this, I am trying to give Bush the benefit of the doubt.

Because if Clinton caught Bin Laden, it would mean the end of the war for the Bush administration. The Bushies only understand war. Whatever would they spend our tax dollars on if not war?

clinton did chase down bin laden but Bush Senior made him let him go because of the relationship the Bush and Bin Ladens share in oil.

Bin Laden dosn't like cigars, I seriously doubt he would have given him a bj and interns don't tend to blow themselves up.

he did he sent a bunch of cruise missiles to where his camp was! it didnt work though! all he did bye failing was stur up a hornets nest. the twin towers on 9/11 was their response!

HE may have lied but noone died due to his lies. bush said we had to go to war because had weapons os mass dest and it was all bull now over 2500 of our guys are dead
