It seems like everyone is going by the way of limewire, itunes, etc... so just wondering if people are still willing to purchase cd's when you can get them off the internet?

Yes, my sister and I got tricked into accepting this BGM music contract and now we have to buy CD every other month for at least a year. And I'm guessing it happens to a lot of people because everywhere I go, people always know what I'm talking about. I just say "Got bound in BGM music..." and they interrupt me "Oh, yeah, that wasn't fun..."

I think that's the way it's going to work from now on: you promise people free CDs and then if they accept (they can only refuse by returning the CDs ten days from the day they were delivered to the unsuspecting prey, which is actually very much harder to do than to say) they have to buy CDs every month for another year.

And besides I keep getting these presents from people who don't know me at all and think I'm going to like a CD or something. So I know THEY buy cds.

But it's like saying Do people keep buying caves now that there's houses? And the answer is It's not that they buy them, but they get stuck in a situation and they end up living in caves and someone takes away everything from them and the trade is done. It's something that just happens.

Nice, uh?

Really, it depends on what company made the game. For instance, Blizzard said when they made Warcraft 2, that one CD code can be good for up to 5 games installed at once. After that, it would only allow you to play Single player mode. This caused a lot more people to become familiar with Blizzard's work and thus, boosted Blizzard's popularity. This same feature is in Starcraft, Warcraft 1, and Diablo 1 and 2. I don't know if its in Warcraft 3, and I doubt it's in World of Warcraft or Starcraft 2. There are also many other companies that had a feature very similar to Blizzard's, after seeing how popular Blizzard became. My suggestion is to either check the website of the company that makes your specific game(s), or just take action into your own hands. Be warned, though, technically it is against the law to install multiple copies with the same CD code unless the company says otherwise.

All the time, i'm totally addicted to AMAZON.COM. Don't get me wrong, i d/l music from limewire all the time but, that's just to sample certain tracks...and if I like a band enough, I'll be more than happy to shell out some $$$ to support them by buying their CD...besides, despite how many mp3s you can fit in your ipod, you still just can't beat a CD for sound quality!

Every once in a while, for the songs that I can't find on the net. Classics mostly. Things I never listen to once I buy them, lol. Do most buying on the net and then burn my own, so every CD is 100% my favorites!

Yes. I have only purchased about 20 songs out of my 18,000+ song iTunes library.
I have over 18,000 songs in my CD collection.
