Of course, we landed on the moon. C'mon, there would have had to been a massive conspiracy of hundreds of people employed at NASA and involved in the effort including hundreds of manufacturers and suppliers. There is no real debate.
Go back? For what. It is a dead planet and we have learned what we need to know. The only reason to go back would to be to mine for valuable minerals which would be way to expensive at this point in time.

Yes American astronauts really landed on the moon, and ran tons of expensive tests and experiments while they were there. People who believe otherwise are simply ignorant. If there was anything important that the scientific community still didn't know about the moon that was worth the tremendous expense of returning, I bet they'd find a way to fund it all over again.

At the moment, if it came to a vote, I'd like to see NASA fix the Hubble telescope before they gear up to start fooling around on the moon again. Perhaps if he is still so interested in the moon, Dr. Evil could foot the bill next time.

Even though I am not someone to beleive everything I see on television, after watching the documentary on Fox a couple of years ago, I am convinced that the moon landing was a hoax.

The one thing that convinces me is that if you look at the space suits of today and compare them to what they were 35 years ago, I would have to think to myself that there is no way that they could have walked around the moon let alone a spacewalk. If you figure that there is no air on the moon, you would need to be in a suit that is pressurized. When you see the videos of the astronauts, their suits are just as flimsy and pliable as if they were regular clothes. If the suits were pressurized they would at least be bloated with air.

That website will give you the full NASA timeline. You can follow everything there. I guess my question to your question is---does it matter?

Since the Neanderthal Man, humans have looked at the skies and wanted to "get back". God is in heaven, which we equate to being in the "heavens" or the sky.

I believe we landed on the moon. Walter Cronkite would not have stood for any "funny business", and I believe he would not have reported it on air.

Our visual and audio technology at that time was still in black and white. We had absolutely no computer graphics technology. I'm afraid what we're seeing as the supposed "evidence" of a "spoof" moon landing would have had to have been accomplished at least in the early 80s. Sorry, but that just doesn't fly--------UNLESS, we had received some form of alien technology in 1947 from Roswell! hehehehehe

We landed there---absolutely.

Landing on moon was a race with Soviets. If US faked the footage, Soviets would be the first to run around and tell everybody.

Now that US showed it's technological superiority & did all possible research, going back is just a waste of taxpayers money - education, social security and budget deficit are much more pressing problems.

Is the earth really flat?

COme on, scientists have tested the moon rocks. We have satellites in space. Astronauts have been killed going up in space shuttles.

As for your second question, you raise a good point. One answer is that China is planniing a manned moon flight to occur by 2020. Not wanting to cede the moon to the Chinese by default, the US will have to do something. In the interim, NASA decided it could gain more benefit for its buck by diverting funds to Hubble (smart) and the space shuttle (bad idea).

Now, more speculatively (and I do not claim by repeating it that its true), there are sites and theories that our astronauts found more on the moon than rocks and dust. SOme people (and again, I am only informing you about their claims - not vouching for them) is that one or two Apollo crews encountered alien presence there, and were warned/scared away from future mission. It sounds as far-fetched as the "We didn't really go to the moon" claims, but there are purported transcripts and eyewitness descriptions. Type in UFO and astronaut on Google and you can read and decide for yourself.

No, we never really landed on the moon. In the film that was made of the moon landing, the flag is waving, yet they say that an astronaut filmed the video, but there is no air or oxygen in space.

yes we did land on the moon. about 7 times... And the reason why we don't go back because there really isn't any reason to... each lunar trip would cost about 5 billion dollars... NASA has a hard enough time getting a space shuttle up to repair a busted satelite.

This question can be answered empirically on your own.

FACT: The moon's rotation is such that one side always faces the earth, the other away from the earth. The same side ALWAYS faces us. This was true back then, and it is true now. You can use a telescope to see the flag we left behind for yourself. No more doubt! No more conspiracy.

It has to be a very powerful telescope, though.

sure we did. we orbit around in space all the time. why is it not possible that we didnt go to the moon. its right there. if we really didn't we definitely could have but i think we were there. someone should take a look at the moon with a satellite or telescope. if they can read license plates on cars with satellites they should be able to tell if the flag and plaque are there from the visit
