Deaf. I think I would feel less vulnerable that way. Plus, if I learned sign language and/or lip reading, I would almost be able to compensate for my handicap. However, with blindness, there is nothing you can easily do to bring any type of sight back into your life. If blind, I would miss out on reading books (I don't think braille would be the same), watching the sunset and sunrise, watching the trees change color in fall, watching the new flowers bloom in spring, watching my loved ones grow up... Instead, I would be trapped in my own dark world. No, deafness is definitely preferential. Who cares about missing the sound of sirens, beeping traffic, swearing, screams of agony, fingers on a chalkboard...?

I'd choose being deaf, because I could still see the colorful world outside and I could communicate using sign language. When I watch TV or a movie there's usually captions. Also, I can wear a hearing aid. There's just so much more that I'd miss if I couldn't see.
Although, this IS a tough choice.

My mom is blind, so i might want to assert deaf. i believe like there is so a lot extra accessible to the listening to impaired. now to not be unfair, I even haven't any journey with all people deaf so i am going to't genuinely analyze, yet i believe like that each little thing is so a lot extra accessible for someone sighted.

Deaf... I'm too much of a visual person. I'd miss music very much, though. But never to look into my husbands and my sons eyes again would be worse.
