Go to the Pier every night, awesome show and arts and crafts every night. Fireworks are planned.
Go down the coast to St Johns Pass, big celebration also planned there. and if you are there on a Sunday, go to the Don in St Pete for brunch!
St pete and clearwater are like fav places to be.

Live in the beach town right next to Clearwater, construction, detours, no parking, over priced everything. Only two roads in, all backed up, as much as 5miles. We also are in the Red tide season, stingrays, jellyfish. People come here with the romantic notion, sorry, facts of beach life!!!

Take along plenty of good sunscreen, a visor or baseball cap and, if you're going to drink on the beach do NOT fall asleep in the sun.
