I have absolutly no sex drive, and I feel HORRIBLE because I have a boyfriend, and I never feel like having sex. We used to have sex all the time, and then suddenly one day I just lost my sex drive( around 8 months ago)... is there any type of medicaton, or natural herbs or anything that could make me have a sex drive again??? I feel so bad, I hate being like this... it's driving me crazy. (p.s. I am a 19 year old female... it's not normal for me to not want sex!) what is wrong with me???

Low libido (low sexual desire), is a very common problem for many women after childbirth or for those on birth control. It can also happen to young women or women of all ages. The cause is usually a hormonal imbalance.

There are many type of herbal supplements that can help you regain your libido. Horny Goat weed and Ginseng are good products, and there are also combination herbal supplments that work even better, I have heard that Boom is a real good one. The trick with kerbal supplements is finding the right one that works best for you because it all depends on how your body reacts to it. It may take some time and money to find the right one and once you do, I would recommend sticking with it. Here is a link to a web site that sells all kinds of herbal supplments for low libido.

I know this will sound bad, but I am so relieved to hear that I am not the only one with this same exact problem!! I am 30 yrs old, though, but it's still not "normal." I stopped taking the pill a while ago because I felt that there was a correlation beteween the time I started taking them and my loss of sex drive. it's been over a year since I stopped, though, and no improvment. I informed my doctor about this during my last check-up a month ago. She did some bloodwork on me to test my thyroid level, testosterone level, and to check for diabetes- everything came back fine. The next step, she told me, would be to consider mental health treatment. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but it may be something to consider. If you find anything else out, I'd love to know!

Many medications can cause this, even some birth control pills. Talk it over with your physician. (If it is BC pills they can probably change you to something that might work better)
Good luck...
