Best rock band MUST be Queen - apart from 'This Thing Called Love' they never put a foot wrong and what a talent Freddie Mercury was..may he rest in peace.
And their best song MUST be 'Bohemian Rhapsody'; though when he wrote it Freddie phoned their manager and said he'd written a song that he didn't know what to do with because it was so far from anywhere any other rock song had gone before. The manager said 'You've got to release it as a single...'....the rest is history!
and Why? Because it was absolutely GROUNDBREAKING with its operatic feel and close harmonies and, oh hell, EVERYTHING!
