I think it would be good for all schools to have uniforms. Everyone should have to dress the same, think it would cut down on the bullying etc. Also not everyone can afford expensive clothes etc and to pardon the pun.....would create a level playing field. Besides, I am sure that anyone that is a diva would be able to spice up their uniforms

I tend to lean towards school uniforms being a good idea since it lowers social friction and helps mitigate the pressures of socio-economic stratification in schools. One concern is that lower-income families would be unable to afford the uniforms which would place extra, unwanted financial pressure on parents.

Yes..it would bring some semblance of order and uniformity to the students. Also would reduce the costs on parents having to shop for brand name gear for students to wear

No! School uniforms might erase the social class system and break down cliques, but they also smother individuality and creativity. It's school ... for kids ... not the military. We should be nurturing free thinkers, not drones.

Yes. I think it would help alleviate some of the tension between rich and poor students. Nobody would know what kind of clothes you were at home!!

Yes. School would be a more pleasant place if kids didn't have to worry about impressing everyone with their clothes.
