If you compare these two then Salman Khan is better. Salman Khan is best at his body than him and the kind of movies he does is better if you really want to enjoy comedy romance combination. Salman Khan is much spontaneous and doesnt follows any methodology for acting. And as far as boxoffice is concerned, Salman Khan is better in B and C Grade towns than Sharukh whereas Sharukh is more popular in major cities but Salman is equally popular in all parts of the country. Sharukh has hits only with renowned movie directors like Yash Chopra and Karan Johar but Salman delivers hits with all kinds of directors. Salman Khan movies have the best initial collections at boxoffice whereas sharukh is dependent upon banner and big name producers.

Shahrukh Khan all the way!!! He's a more believable character (whatever part he plays) and is versatile. Salman is a good actor but not as good as Shahrukh. Mostly he's just pleasant on the eyes. Besides he has too much of a bad rep and that hurts his appeal a little.
