Try not to act irrationally and try not to feel that people are always attacking you personally. Most of all, what you need is more self-esteem. Try not to worry about the way other people feel about you. You should also take some time to gather your thoughts before you respond to a comment that angers you. Think about whether the comment was really a put down or just a harmless comment that you are overreacting to.

You may be depressed. It may be a physiological issue where you are deficient in a neurotransmitter, or have a hyperactive reuptake of the same. As the first answer says, see a doctor. Anger management and all that is fine, but often you are just torturing yourself, which is what it sounds like from your question.
See a doctor who is open to considering depression as a possibility.

You choose to be angry. You know the difference between right and wrong but you choose to let yourself go.
You need to start making the right choices.
Do I beat the snot out of my little brother or do I tell Mom what is going on and let her handle it for me?
Everything has a choice, you just need to start making the right ones !!!

force yourself to stop, take three deep breaths, and then
count to ten before reacting to anything that upsets you.
if you cannot learn to handle this yourself, you might
need professional help. yes, people will turn away from
you if you do not correct this. they do not need the
hurtful things an angry person can say or do. an apology
afterward when you have cooled down will not erase the
hurt.

Anger Management -- Deciding to control a monster that would strike out and destroy your soul, your family, and your life.
You make the choice to control your anger. If you allow your anger to be destructive in your life, you do so at your own decision. Too often people rationalize their bad behavior with the phrase "I lost my temper." They didn't lose anything. They just chose not to control their anger.
"Hot Temper" is just another phrase for "I'm too lazy and too immature to make the decision to do whatever it takes to act like a responsible human being."

If you find you get angry too quickly maybe you're overly stressed out. Try finding a hobby... something you can do to relax.

Anger is usually caused by fear. Fear of not getting what you want or fear of losing something you already have. Figure what you are afraid of and you won't get angry.
