It sounds like Braxton-Hicks contractions, but I would talk to your doctor. Worst case is that you are admitted to the hospital for tests.

With my last pregnancy (#4), I spent six weeks in labor and the doctors kept telling me that it was nothing but false alarms. When they finally decided to admit me, I had to have an emergency c-section because his ear was presenting instead of the top of his head. As a result, the surgeon cut an artery and I have nerve damage to my bladder.

Be careful and take it easy!

This is normal. Many people have contractions (often times Braxton Hicks) after sex. The duration of the contractions and the fact that you are term does make me wonder if this was Braxton Hicks or not. Its possible that the sperm caused contractions (the real thing). If you're feeling better today I'd just take it easy and let my doctor know at the next appointment what happened. Unless you get more contractions, begin leaking fluid or see your mucus plug, then I'd call the doctor ASAP. Your baby will be here soon. Congratulations.

Sounds like contractions to me. If it only lasted 2 hours then stopped, no need to go to the hospital just yet. Contractions should be about 5 minutes apart when you go. I would imagine after having this cramping (contractions!) for two hours, the next OB visit you have, you'll be dilated. Sounds like somene's having a baby soon! :)

You need to call your midwife or OB right wawy to be checked OR next this happens got to labor and delivery. You may have naturally induced your labor on the account of you are 36 weeks which is basically full term. Now you may also be experiencin Braxton Hick's contractions. But my best advice is if it happens again go to L&D and don't be embarrassed if you are sent home, this happens to alot of women everyday. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Yes. That is normal. After orgasm or sex cramping can occur for a couple of hours. However if they increase in intensity, get closer together or don't quit after a while, you may be in labor and should call your doctor.

When you are in labor, those cramps (contractions) will get stronger, longer and closer together as labor progresses.

Believe me, it will be lots of fun! :-)

sounds like contractions to me!! thats exactly what mine feel like. i would say the next time you feel that you better call your doctor cause you may have to go to the hospital!

you could have bratox hicks contractions buy they dont hurt (you the menstral cramp feeling in your tummy and back) they only make your tummy tighten some and then it goes away. so if it hurts you best call your doctor

when you orgasm your uterus contracts. if you didnt have pain, then they are probably braxton hicks contractions, which are like warm-ups for the real thing (yeah then the real things come and you'll be like F U braxton hicks that was nothing!)
did it all pass? are you feeling better? you could always call your ob-gyn but sounds like its ok. the sperm can also provoke contractions, seriously! there's a hormone that can get things started!
good luck (and i recommend the epidural, coming from someone who didnt have the option!)

They sound like braxton-hicks - or fake contractions. They're very common & most first time moms-to-be think that they are actually in labor when they have them. As long as they go away, you should be OK, but definitely inform your OB/GYN when you see them.

The same thing happen to me, but instead my water bag broke as well. To me it sounds like you where having pre- term labor pains known as Paxton Hicks. If it continues I think you should call your doctor.

Yes, when your are furthur along sex can cause your uterus to contract, but not enough to send you into labor. If the pain stopped then don't worry. If you are still hurting call your doctor.
