Postcodes correspond to very small areas of the country such as a street. You do not have to include the post code provided the rest of the address is correct. YOu can find addresses from post codes and visa verser at the post office website.

Firstly they're called Zip Codes over the pond in America.

If you live in America then use you're schools zip code.

Otherwise you could try searching "American Zip Codes" on Google.

If you know the address, you can look up the zip code on the below website (United States Postal Service)

However, Wikipedia gives you loads and loads of information on zip codes - too much to cut and paste! They give their history and loads more!

Good luck with your project - and good luck!

15219 - Pittsburgh, PA (or any 152XX)

40475 - Richmond, KY

29926 or 29928 are both for Hilton Head Island, SC

You can also go to http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/citytown_zip.jsp and try typing 5 random numbers and see what that gets you... (Kind of National Geographic -ish)
