Do you mean Cholic - this is when they get very bad trapped wind, almost always from bottle feeding. Some bttles now come with built in valves to ease this. If the baby is old enough, you can also try gripe-water.

well if you are talkin about infantile colic its paroxysmal abdominal pain or cramping. The condition usually occurs during the first 3 months of life

excessive fermentation and gas production in the intestines are thought to be the cause of colic, other factors include to rapid feeding, overeating, swallowing air, or poor burping techniques, many times the cause cannot be determined

If you mean baby colic, it is excess gas in the baby's tummy that causes them pain, so lots and lots of crying, which leads to more air/gas in the stomach. It's a vicious cycle. You can help them to pass the gas by laying them on their tummy across your lap and gently (GENTLY) patting them on the back . Also burp them often when they are drinking a bottle or nursing. Nursing babies get colic less often because mother's milk is more compatible with baby's tummy and less air in the nursing process.

no, not cholic, but colic. it's when they are inconsolable. they just cry and cry for no real reason. they can be very hard to deal with.....they say white noise and certain soothing techniques help but basically they just cry for no reason.
