Probably one of the bulbs is burned out.
The electrical circuit that blinks the bulbs usually has a blinker module that does the blinking. One way to build this is to run the current through a special piece of metal called a "bi-metallic strip." The current heats it, the two kinds of metal expand differently and the strip bends, breaking the circuit. The bulbs goes out. Then it cools off, straightens out and restores the circuit. The bulbs go back on. Lather rinse repeat.
The module for a given car is chosen for the specific bulbs in use, and if one bulb burns out that changes the amount of current running through the module, and therefore the amount of heating, and therefore the speed of the blinking.
Set the blinker going, get out and check that all the bulbs are working. Do all the rest of the bulbs while you're at it.

my problem was a little different. the fast clicking started a day after a guy fixed a dent right between the gas tank cap and the left turn lights. there is a wire that connects to the plug to the rare light system. seems the independent mechanic failed to re-connect the plugs together before closing the cover up. when i connected the plugs, the lights came on. one hint i had that it was more than just a turn signal light is that NONE of the 3 lights were coming on during breaking, left turning or emergency blinkers. russ in seattle

Either the front or back left turn signal light bulb is blown out. This is your cars way of letting you know since you rarely are using turn signals while not in the vehicle. I wish they had something like that for brakes though... anyway, check the back signal first, it's usually them. Best wishes

chevk and see which left blinker is blinking. If the front is blinking then the back one is out. If the back one is blinking the front one is out. This is a safety device so you know something is wrong.

It means your blinker light is burned out. Most likely in the back.

Your blinker blinks faster because either your fuse for that blinker has blown or the light bulb is shot.

Get out of the car and look at both blinkers. One may be burned out.
