I have been with my guy for over a yr and half how do I know for sure that he is being honest with me when he says that he loves me and only me and that he does one day want to marry me. But yet he doesnt want to marry me anytime soon even though he knows I really want to get married.

I usually have a long answer to give, but this one is very simple: if he's with you is because he loves you, otherwise he wasn't with you. If you're afraid he wants you AND other girls, the best way is for you to show him your doubts and your reasons. Maybe it's just your insecurity and your love for him. That's good, but don't start doubting of him just because of that. It will all be resolved if you just talk to each other racionally.
Ups, I gave a long answer =P

Listen to me here. This is the honest truth and ANYONE who tells you differently is either lying or has no idea what they are talking about.

1 - If you trust him, believe him when he says he loves you and just be happy with that.

2 - DO. NOT. PUSH. HIM. If it's the real deal, marriage will happen. Let it happen naturally. Trying to push him into it will do one of two things - it will either make him leave you, or he will marry you and resent you for forcing him into it for your entire life.

If you love him, be happy that you have him and can be with him. Married life is not much different than the life you have with him now. Just relax and learn to enjoy the present instead of constantly looking for the next milestone in your life, otherwise you will never be happy no matter what he gives you.

Trust me on this.

PS: A year and a half is not that long. Things can and probably will change. You're young.

If you don't feel secure enough in the relationship to trust his word, then maybe you need to examine yourself, not him.
