It's a stereotype for southern white guys. There are some good and some bad rednecks. A good redneck loves his Momma, fried chicken, drinking beer, listening to country and western music, his country, pickup trucks, Nascar, the Flag, and his girlfriend. So people now you can form your own opinion on this one. We are neither ignorant or stupid and we have very good redeeming values.

If you are a redneck, as far as being proud your from the south, that isn't exactly bad... but if you are a redneck cuz you hold very ignorant ideas about the world .. that is very bad. If you are a redneck cuz your English grammar is horrible .. that's not good either ...

I don't recognize the term. If it means a guy who has to earn a living working in the sun all day what's so bad about that? If it implies something else, the fact that you're asking denotes the stirrings of conscience.
If so, congratulations. Few people excercise it and sometimes I wonder if it was an option on some ' models '.

It's fine to be a redneck. That's what I am with a little bit of city blood in me. My granma & grandpa & dad are rednecks.

theres nothing wrong with rednecks.they have a good time and dont care what people think.id much rather hang with rednecks at a nascar race than some pompus stuck up snob at a museum or opera.

Depends on where you live~In the south where i live it is considered to be a good thing but up north or out west not so sure about that

Well, I've never heard of anyone considering it a good thing. I guess if bad teeth, poor hygeine and inbreeding are your thing, then sure, it's super.
