The players always either aruge with the opposing team, or the referee. . . .so doesn't that mean they all have to speak one language? Otherwise, all that talking sure doesn't get you anywhere- body language probably does it better.

English is the "official" language for the games. When they argue with the referees, they normally do it in their own language, so the referee does not understand, ha. Even though players argue, they usually don't get anywhere, cause it's always the referees final word.

No, I think they argue in their own language hoping the Referee can understand them, but then again some of them can speak more than one language so somewhere along the lines they meet an offical who can speak their same language.

I think all international football players have to learn some basic English enough to communicate with referees and others.

I think all the players should speak all three business languages (English, French and Spanish), besides their native tongue and whatever FIFA requires, if any.
