omg! how big was it. Call animal controll in your town and see what they can do to help. You wouldnt want to try and get it out on your own. Animal controll does stuff like this. Call before someone gets bit. Since you have found his shedding skin, he prob. lives there. i am just guessing though. good luck

1. It probably isn't in your house anymore.
2. Just wear heavy jeans and boots, take a garden hoe to use as a searching probe, and use it to push clothes and items aside, and to PULL furniture away from the walls so that you don't get close to the furniture when moving it. If you find the snake, use the flat of the blade to shoo it along the floor and out the door. If it aggressive, use the blade to cut it in half or behead it. Generally, a snake it more terrified of you - your walking near it sends low-frequency vibes through the ground or floor to resonate through it's body and it reads that as a danger signal. To it, you are the giant at the top of the beanstalk.
4. Before you do anything, get somebody knowledgeable such as your county ag extension agent to identify the skin. It may just be a non-poisonous snake, and you can get rid of it without so much fear.

Make sure that there isn't a snake left in the house. Call a pest control company or the local animal control. Once you have taken care of the animal, go around the house and make sure that there aren't any holes that they can get in from again.

Take the skin and look up on the internet what types of snakes are in your area. Match the skin to the picture and go from there.

FIRST ASK YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS IF IT IS THEIRS MAYBE ONE OF THE KIDS FOUND THE SKIN AND THOUGHT IT WAS COOL.MAYBE THERE IS NO SNAKE.IF NOT CALL ANIMAL CONTROL.
