I would buy ant traps. The ants will go into them and eat what is inside and take some back to the other ants. They will all eat this poison in the traps and die within a few days. You can get these traps at any hardware store.

my friend had a car sitting behind his house and when he gave it to us i noticed ants in it. we pulled up the seats and the upholstery for the floor boards and loads of an ant colony were in it. so yes we went to the vaccum as car washes and sucked as many as we could get then went home and took a big jug of bug poison and dumped it all over the floorboard along with boric acid, and all kinds of poisons. let that sit for a bit and then sucked up the remainder that were still alive.

Try putting ant traps in your car. That might help. Or you can try getting your car exterminated.
