Are celebrities and athletes worth their multi-million dollar salaries?

Hell NO! It's sad that we have people on the streets and we pay actors 1 million dollars or more to work for less than 3 months! Our society is f*cked up! Doctors, Firefighters, and Teachers should be paid salaries like celebrities. They are the true hero's.

Funny you should ask. Their salaries are directly proportionate to the amount cash we shell out to be entertained. For example, I'm a Dallas Mavericks fan, and we just built a new arena to play in. Amazingly enough, the ticket prices went up alot. I still go to the games, but not near as many. That, however, does not stop stop them from selling out EVERY game. Price hikes and salary will continue until fans say enough by not buying the tickets. Therefore, we are the reason for those outrageous salaries.

As with everything, some are and some aren't. Most of the money used for celebrity/athlete salaries could be used for better things.

Whether they're worth it or not...it drives me CRAZY when they complain about how "hard" acting is. They really have lost touch with reality!

no They are pricing themselves out of existence. If only the rich can go see them their popular support will fall.

yes....think of the not being able to go out in public without an onslaught of invasion of your privacy, not being able to have a normal lifestyle at all. if it was me, i'd certainly expect to be compensated.

nope I think that people are payed way too much to do something that a HUGE group of people can do too. they may not be able to do it better but they can still do it.

no.. the athletes in the old days.. they got along just fine..
