I saw it last month and I must say it was excellent. The music and effects were wonderful, as was all the acting and singing. It was definitely worth my $55 to see it. What do you think if you've seen it live before?

You're going to think I'm crazy...I have seen it 23 times. I even went to the Jan. 9th gala and mingled. It was fantastic.

I obviously love the show...too much.

I saw it several years ago in my area, and it was excellent. I was very impressed, and it really stayed with me. I was so excited when they made it into a film, and i LOVED the movie. But it's not quite the same as seeing it live! I'll admit that I don't normally like musicals. In fact, I think Phantom of the Opera is the only musical I've ever liked. But it just blows every other one out of the water. The drama, the romance, the passion....the tragedy. *sigh* I even love the soundtrack!! I bought it after I'd seen the live performance.

When they perform it here again, I'll definitely be buying tickets, because you're right, it is so worth it!

Yes, six times--including Michael Crawford in the original and twice in Connecticut. It was definitely worth going to see and I can't wait to go again in September! Hell, I'd pay $155 to see it again! I loved Michael in the part of the Phantom so much that I had to see Dance of the Vampires, a short run show in 2004 that was killed by the critics due to the fact that they expected it to be a part two so to speak of Phantom. Unfortunately, it wasn't what the critics wanted or expected so they said it was a bomb--it wasn't it was phenomenal to say the least!!!

Yes, ten times a week at the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas. I also saw the show in LA and in NYC. This production is every bit as good even though it has been scaled down to run 105 minutes. The theatre that was built specifically for this production is amazing and the special effects are much bigger.

Yes, saw it with Micheal Crawford as the "Phantom." Needless to say, very VERY moving. I've also seen national tours that have come through my area over the years. I think it's one of Lloyd Webbers best shows, if not the best one. Aida's awesome as well.

I saw it many years ago in Los Angeles. I had "obstructed view" seats, but it did not take away from the show. My favorite moment was at the beginning of the show when the chandelier was quickly raised from its crashed position on the stage to its place above the audience.

I saw it about 10 years ago. It was awesome. I think live shows are always much more enjoyable. Not much for classical, but watching the symphony live is great.

My ex did and it totally blew his top off. He is a very serious and respectable playwright and he used to say that Broadway shows were not real theater. Then, when he was in NYC he went to see it with some friends and he was flabbergasted.

I've seen it three times and I love it. I love the music, the costumes and the story. It always touches me so deeply.

Incidentally, I really disliked the recent movie adaptation.
