Why don't bands like Tool, Slipknot, S.O.A.D, Breaking Benjamin, and the like tour in Utah? I mean yeah Utah sucks but why is it only country artists tour Utah?

Dammit....all you people are right. Utah sucks. Planning to move away in a bit anyway.

My guess would be Mormons. They really do run the state (I know non-mormons who were ostracized from the community, and even in public schools).

I think they are almost as dangerous as Scientologists. They keep records of everything. Family history, residences, jobs....kinda creepy.

Anyway, they are probably keeping Utah free of "evil" bands like those listed.

I agree with La chiva. You think living in Utah sucks when it comes to that, try living in Oklahoma. All we ever get out here is Toby Keith and Kenny Chesney (like twice a year)

Bands like to have fun while they're on tour. There's little fun to be had in Utah, especially at midnight when the concert is over.

Yeah, Tool in Provo. All the BYU students will be there. Wait, no. If you can get a band to play on campus, where they have the anonymous make out spots, you might get an audience. They will, however, have bags on thier heads, which at BYU might not be a bad thing.

Because the largest group of Mormons in the world live there. Can you imagine a Mormon allowing their children go to a Slipknot concert? Not in this lifetime.

Because Mormons outlawed music and dancing in 1893.

And for the record, none of the bands you listed could ever be considered "good" bands. Well, maybe Tool.
