My grandmother passed away while I was in college. I think that I was closer to her than ANY other family member. It hurt the most because I was away when it happened. I took it crucially. And I know I cared because I had the most strange dreams ever. I believe it was a way to tell me that she was at peace, and alongside God. Over time, the dreams became less and less frequent, most likely because I knew that she was struggling no more, and I was content with the fact that she was in a better place.
So remember that your loved ones no longer have to struggle or suffer, and one day you'll be reunited. I know it hurts, but as time passes, memories of good times will help you heal. They sure helped me.

Everyone reaches an age where those of the previous generation(s) start leaving. It is hard, but it does get easier as you get more philosophical as time goes by. Keep your chin up and keep in mind that all things must pass to make room for the new. We were not meant to last forever, it just seems that way sometimes.

I have been going through the same thing. My mother just passed away not to long ago and we were extremely close. It just takes time to grieve and although sometimes it feels like you will never get over it, you just have to remember the good times and know that as long as you hold them in your heart forever they will never truly be gone.

There always comes a time where you have to let go of someone you love, but think possitive, they are probably in a better place where now they can be relaxed and know that you are always being watched by your loved one, so they will always be in your heart. I will pray, God bless.!

Sorry for your loss but is this really the place for this. It's not even a question. Do you have something you feel you want to ask or get off your chest to help ease the pain?

I'm very sorry to hear that. Just remember that everything happens for a reason and God has a purpose for you. Hold your head up high and try not to think about it. Their gone to a better place and you'll see them one day.
