I didn't see it but thought the same thing when I read about it.

I think that if you analyze the match, you'll find the ref making up a lot of fouls AGAINST Argentina. You can see, for instance, how he whistled against Argentina after a German player kicks the air, because Teves took him the ball. And he was close enough to see it. You can also check the yellow card received by Rodriguez when he was clearly fouled in the penalty area. That would have given the match to Argentina. Another abnormal situation was when the Argentinian goal-keeper was hit enough to get injured in the small rectangle and the ref didn't stop the match....
Before the game I thought it was media-pressure, but watching the game I realized it was true.
I don't understand why you place this question. If you had known a little about soccer you wouldn't have any doubt.

I've seen people who don't support Argentina admitting the ref screwed up. Just watch the replays and you'll see all those times Argentinians get fouled and he doesn't call anything, or he calls it but doesn't card. Sure, he made some good calls (on both sides), but not enough. Once again, a home team that didn't even play that well makes it to the semis. Surprise, surprise.

Well I think he made a few bad calls against Argentina, but hey (Germany VS Argentina) 2 huge teams, they shouldn't have met this early in the game, oh well somebody has to win and somebody has to go home, this is the World Cup, the best game in the world, I strongly think Germany is looking for a 2002 rematch with Brazil, we shall see. :)

The ref did a great job today. He was more than fair to both sides. Tough loss for Argentina, as the match could have went either way.

Refs are, (being human), ALWAYS biased!
There is no way around it. They are not impartial.
For example, I am a very honorable person and if I were a ref I would like to believe that I was being fair, except I know that if a team I wanted to win was playing, that even, unconsciously, (outside of my awareness) I would underlyingly lean toward supporting that team.

I saw the first 90 minutes, the fouls called were almost exactly the same. I didn't see any bias.
